WELCOME TO FIS WORLD CUP FINALS!

The Organizer says: "We have a feeling that this years venue of Svenska Skidspelen will be one of a kind. March 15-18, 2018 the worlds cross-country elite will put on a final show at Lugnet in Falun. They will compete in this seasons grand finale - FIS Ski Cross-Country World Cup Finals".

Alongside these competitions, Skidspelen is also proudly hosting the finals of FIS Cup in Ski Jumping March 16-18.With a long history of hospitality, The region Dalarna is one of Sweden’s most popular tourist destinations. People come here for events, activities, culture, relaxation or adventure,
unbelievably beautiful natural surroundings and breathtaking views.

Falun municipality has approx. 57 000 inhabitants and is the resident of Dalarna.
Falun is one of the world’s oldest international World Cup organizers, since 1947, Svenska
Skidspelen is hosted in Falun.

“Mördarbacken” – Faluns signature hill is well known in the Cross Country community.
Before the WSC 2015 the course system was changed and developed and we now have the
large and small “Mördarbacken”. For our competitions 2018 both will be used.
Calle Halfvarsson, Jennie Öberg, Hanna Falk, Linn Sömskar, Anna Dyvik and Simon
Andersson are some of the skiers who live in Falun.

Falun offers a mini tour with sprint, distance first mass start and the last competition will be pursuit distance.

Holmenkollen skifestival offers a change for endurance skiers to show their capasity at end of season.

Is Iivo Niskanen still as strong as in PyeongChang or will Poltaranin or Russian youngster Bolshunov and Norwegian skiers try to beat him?

What about ladies? Is Krista Pärmäkoski still getting stronger or does Marit Björgen take the gold medal? 

It will be exciting weekend and in Program there are also Ski Jumping and Compined, but in cross country only mass start long distance competitions with Classic style 30 km W and 50 km M.

Fis-Ski Drammen, NOR – 7th March, 2018

Drammen offers Worldcup sprint on Wednesday 7th March right after Salpausselkä Weekend in Lahti. 

The new starskier Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo made his debyte in WC just in Drammen 2015-16 (F Qual 27. and final 15).

Sprint will be skied in conventional style in city athmosphere.

The sprint course is made in center of town in two days only for competition. In this link you can see video from 2015  about course has been done.

Maximum climb is a. 21 m and totally a. 45 m. Lenght is told be 1,3 km.
